Irish Film London Appoints Carey Fitzgerald As Chair (Entertainment News)

Unique: Irish Film LondonThe London-based organization that champions Irish film, TV and animation across the UK has named Kerry Fitzgerald as the chairman of its board of directors.
Fitzgerald is the founder and MD of Irish production and sales business Silver Mountain Productions, and partner and producer with Len Colin of Newcastle-based Ballpoint Films.
He is also co-president at BOFTV (Business of Film and TV) and a mentor for several organizations including Screen Skills Ireland.
Irish Film London, now in its 11th year, runs a year-long program of screenings, industry and community workshops, including the annual St. Patrick’s Film Festival with the Mayor of London and the Embassy of Ireland’s St. Brigid’s Day Film Festival in addition to the annual Irish Film Festival. London Irish Film Festival each November, home of the Irish Film London Awards.
The organization has its own online portal, Irish Film From Home, as well as the Irish Film London Podcast, which provides fortnightly insights into Irish film culture and beyond. Patrons include Saoirse Ronan, Colin Farrell, Fiona Shaw, Lenny Abrahamson, Moe Dunford and Ross Hubbard.
Irish Film Festival in London Ireland is supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Screen Ireland, Culture Ireland, IFI International, the Irish Youth Foundation and Film London.
